6 Cleaning the paper dust remover, registration sensor, registration roller

  1. Open the upper right door.
  2. Remove the screw [1], and move the stopper installing position from the hole [2] to hole [3].
  3. Reinstall the screw [1].
  4. NOTE
    • After the maintenance work is complete, return the stopper to the original installation position [2].
  6. Open the cover, and disconnect the connector [1].
  7. NOTE
    • Remove the connector without the relay connector.
  8. Remove the harness from the wire saddle [2].
  10. Remove the paper dust remover [2] while pressing the hook section [1] inward.
  11. NOTE
    • Gently remove it so that the paper dust does not fall into the machine.
  13. Clean the paper dust remover [1] using a blower brush.
  15. Using a cleaning pad dampened with alcohol, wipe the registration sensor [1] clean of dirt.
  17. Using a cleaning pad dampened with alcohol, wipe the registration roller [1] clean of dirt.
  19. If paper dust is scattered in the hollow [A] in front of the registration roller, clean it using a blower brush.
  20. NOTE
    • If paper dust is scattered in the hollow [A], a miss detection may be made by the registration sensor.
  22. To reinstall the paper dust remover, reverse the order of removal.
